Scarzello is a family run estate located in the heart of the village of Barolo, The vineyard is organically farmed (with some biodynamic practices) mainly in the iconic Cru of Sarmassa, including the legendary "Vigna Merenda". Very classic wine making style, with more than 30 days macerations and a long ageing in Slavonian oak “botti”. Nothing is rushed in this winery, and wines are given three more years of bottle ageing before being released
